Hand in Hand Parenting by Connection workshops

One of the strongest universal truths is that parenting is tough, and with life’s ever-increasing pace it is only getting tougher. Due to the lack of support from a “village” and valid information, we often find ourselves exhausted and disillusioned, instead of enjoying our time with our children thoroughly.

For over 20 years, Hand in Hand Parenting has been one of the leading global authorities on positive parenting. It has recognized this and dedicated itself to giving parents the practical tools and support they need to deliver love and guidance to their children to create warm relationships that will last a lifetime. This is done through easy-to-access support, classes, and literature.

Tanshia, is proud to now partner with Hand in Hand to bring its Parenting by Connection seminars and workshops to the UAE.

What is the parenting by Connection approach?

The Parenting by Connection approach is based on 5 practical tools. These tools build on childrens’ strong desire to love and be loved. We believe that children are naturally good and that they want to enjoy their life with you. Learn how play, respect and warmth can help your family.

Here’s what some of our attendees wrote:

“I never expected to gain so much from the workshop. Honestly, it was not just about the tools, I learned things about myself. The tools that I have learned are really interesting because I did not expect it to work that well.  But a couple of days ago, my cousin was fighting with my nephew on something (she’s 5 years old). She got upset and I went to her and held her. She stayed quiet and hugged me back for a while. I kept hugging her until they called her. I was stunned because she calmed down so quickly. After that, she held my hand and we went outside. She didn’t even care about the toy anymore. Before I would have tried sorting the situation with the 2 kids, trying to take the toy or whatever they had away, but just knowing that simple tool helped with the situation.”

“I truly enjoyed the seminar that Anisa organised where Zsuzsanna Egry talked about listening partnerships. I believe that it is crucial for parents to be able to talk about our missteps and challenges without being judged by others. I am forever thankful to her for bringing this amazing concept and organization into the lives of so many families.”

Gabi

“Actually, the application was not easy. It took a lot of patience. We are always in a hurry with children and we tend to become irritated easily and that is normal. But I found that if I want these tools to work, it is going to take a lot of time and effort. The interesting thing is, I still remember all of the tools without even having to go back to my notes. The workshop was based on activities that help show you what to do and help ingrain these great ideas into your mind. I still remember the games, role plays, and listening time we did, it was very interactive. I would really encourage people to attend the workshop. You won’t just learn things that will help with your children, it will address your problems and struggles as well.” H
