Workshop 3: Manage Differences in Parenting
When we start using Parenting by Connection’s tools and approaches, it is natural to want our partners to do the same, and to seek support from our family and community. This isn’t always easy. A partner’s disagreement or lack of interest can leave us feeling lonely, frustrated and disappointed. These feelings tend to make us relate to our partners in ways that are not helpful.
At this workshop, we will address the challenges you face when others are resistant to your ideas about parenting.
We will help you to figure out how you can peacefully manage the differences in the way you approach parenting and the approaches used at school, in your community and by your partner. You will learn how we embrace our differences and aim to create a non-judgmental community where parents feel fully supported, heard and validated as they share their struggles and successes.
